Today we had a very successful cake sale. At lunch time, we went to the courtyard and set up tables in row. We laid out all types of goodies, such as cakes, cookies, lollies and slices. We had made the yummies the night before. We raised a lot of money for a little cake sale. I’ll tell ‘ya what we raised………. $189.10!!! Can u believe it? I mean come on, it is a lot for selling cakes and stuff. Feel free to leave a reply!!!

Poem of a blizzard!!! (it doesn’t rhyme)

March 29, 2006

 BLIZZARD!!!
Rain like an angry meerkat in a cage of dancing lions! Ready to pounce on a guilty little girl, waiting, waiting for the right moment. Suddenly it pounces, a huge wind blows, and snow covers everything in sight. The wind so strong you can barely walk! The little girl runs in side the house to safety. They watch the news, “a giant blizzard has hit Rowville!” the announcer says. Then he gets cut-out. The storm has broken the T.V aerial.
The wind gets stronger, and stronger. It sounds like a roaring lion; people who were outside were buried in metres of snow. People had no cars or anything. Whatever was outside is now either gone or buried with snow.
The storm has gotten calmer now, people were able to go outside but it was so cold they didn’t want to. They had to; many people came out to check the state of the town. Lots of kids played in the snow, making snow angels, making forts or having snow ball fights.
Lots of people where crying. They held a town meeting, all of the councils around Rowville decided to put in some money together and help Rowville. The people were going to make new and repair everything that the blizzard destroyed.
About a year later, everything was normal, happy and grateful. Rowville was normal once again!

some other fly away home stuff.

March 26, 2006

we have to do another ‘fly away home’ thing.

Amy’s journey helped the geese, Amy and her father.

Amy’s journey starts when she goes to canada. She meets her father, and lives in his lifestyle.

I am on a journey, we are moving house and i am going to live in a different house and all the jazz.

i have learnt that Fly away home is a kind of a true story.

Fly Away Home!!!

February 26, 2006

Fly away home is about a girl named Amy. Amy’s mother dies in a car accident, she has to go and live with her father for the rest of her life. As the days go by, she was miserable.

Until one day she finds 17 goose eggs. She raises the geese. One day the wild life officer comes and tells Amy’s dad about how to raise them like their mother would. He tells Amy’s dad (Tom) that their wings need to be clipped so they can’t fly. Amy doesn’t like the idea so when the officer tries to, she hits him on the head with a bowel of pop corn.

When the time comes around that the need to fly south, the cant because they don’t know that the need to. Tom has this brilliant idea that maybe he could take them there himself but they wont leave the mother (Amy).

Tom has a new plan…he will take Amy with him. He will make another plane for her to fly so the geese will follow them. Amy loves the idea, but Tom’s Girlfriend (Susan) HATES the idea of putting Amy into danger. In the end, Amy does go and she fly’s with her geese, on the way, her father crashes and dislocates his shoulder, he couldn’t fly. It was all up to Amy to bring in the geese.

Tom and the entire city are waiting for her at the landing place. they are all incredibly proud of what she has done. It is an hour until she gets there and she makes it on time.

In the end all of the geese get there safely, they still visit every spring.
